Alexandre Émond

Biography

Alexandre started practising judo at the age of 6. His cousin was the one who initially inspired him to do the sport. Soon after, his success became the main driver motivating him. In his first participation at a National Championship, Alexandre places third. Even if success came rapidly, it was only after missing to qualify for the Beijing Olympics in 2008, not by much, that he became convinced he could become an Olympian. Since then, he has made his main goal in life to qualify for the Olympics in London. When not training, Alexandre likes to play poker, hockey cosom and practice jujitsu. He has actually won two world championship title in jujitsu. He names Nicolas Gill and Jimmy Pedro as his model in the sport of judo.
