Amy Cotton

Biography

Amy was borned in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. She started Judo at the age of 6 in Judique, Cape Breton Island. Her parents put her in Judo so she would stop fighting with her brother at home. She loves the sport immediately because of the opportunity it gave her to throw around boys. The Olympic dream came to Amy when she started to participate in National Championship in 1993. Her dream became reality in 2004 when she was selected to participate in the Athens Olympics, finishing ninth overall. She cites her experience as an athletes in Athens as the best of her sport career. When, she is not training, she likes to babysit her niece or go to the movies.
