Biography

Guillaume started judo at the age of 5  in Val D’or. His rapid success in competition pushed him to invest himself even more in the practice of judo. At the age of 10, Guillaume began to dream of an Olympic participation. Partly to help him in his quest, his parents move the whole family from Val d’or to Boucherville in 2000 where Guillaume was able to join a sport-study program and train with more partners. With his second participation at a Senior World Championship under his belt in 2011, Guillaume next big objective is to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio Janeiro. Kosei Inoue is the athlete that Guillaume admires the most in his sport. His personnal coach Faycal Bousbiat has also played an important role in his career. When he is not training, Guillaume works as a web programmer for the web broadcaster TVGO. On his limited spare time, when not training or working, Guillaume likes to play ball hockey and play video games.
