Marylise Lévesque

Biography
Marylise started judo at the age of 8 at La Pocatiere Judo Club. Her group of friends and the pleasure of fighting boys in the sport were part of her early motivation in practicing judo. Her Olympic dream came about a bit late when she saw her friend and training partner Marie-Hélène Chisholm finish 5th at the Athens Olympics in 2004. Four years later, in Beijing, she became herself an Olympian. When not training Marylise works as a nurse on the south shore of Montreal. In her leisure time, she likes to read and watch movies. Nicolas Gill is the person that she admires the most in her sport.
