Canadian judoka brought home 2 gold, 3 silver and a bronze from the 4th IJF World Grand Masters Judo Championships in Miami, Florida Nov 8-11, 2012. Ralph Ibanez won individual gold, Sandra Hewson team gold and individual silver, Cheyls Vallejo individual and open silver and Mara Markovic-Siladi individual bronze.

There were over 900 competitors from 52 countries participating over 4 days in 10 age divisions.

Also competing from Canada Sandra Kovacs came 5th against stiff opposition, Mohamed Khedr and Serge Picard Junior who came 7th, Patrick Duquette and Kim Schau who came 9th in large categories.
