Judo Canada's database requires Microsoft Internet Explorer
CLUB ACCESS TO THE DATABASE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED. THE REGISTRATION PROCESS IS DONE THROUGH THE PROVINCIAL/TERRITORIAL ASSOCIATIONS AND CHANGES WERE NEEDED TO THE CLUB INTERFACE TO REFLECT THIS PROCESS. AS SOON AS THOSE CHANGES ARE COMPLETED, THE ACCESS WILL BE RESTORED.
E-LEARNING MODULE DATABASE
Judo Canada has been working for the past few years on the development of an online database for its members. This database will cover all aspects of judo (including belt promotions and matches fought in competition). As this is a first attempt at a project of this scale, we wish for the cooperation from all members, clubs and provincial/territorial judo associations.
Provincial and Territorial Associations have been able to work in the database for a few years already and have greatly helped in its development. All members who were entered in the database for the 2007-2008 season will receive membership cards in this mail out (although some cards may come to you a little later depending on when the entries in the database were made). Members registered using this system will be receiving a card confirming their membership status for the season.
For members who have Judo Canada passports, this yearly card will be replacing the stamp that was issued in the past. This card will also grant members access to their online judo profile.
Members must be registered in the database in order to receive a card. The cards will be sent to the clubs for distribution. Cards will be sent out periodically throughout the season (in December, in April and in August).
The database is meant as a management tool for all the stakeholders in judo: the member, the club, the provincial/territorial association and Judo Canada. As such, all practicing judokas must be registered in the database.
Members can log on to their profile to view their personal judo history. Clubs can use the database to register their members for the season and for events. The provincial/territorial association can use the database to report to the government, communicate with its members and manage events. Judo Canada can draw statistics from the data for Sport Canada and also use it to manage events.
We ask that everyone be patient with the launch of the system. Don’t be alarmed if you are not already in the database or if you information is incorrect; the first few months of the launch serve to verify the existing content of the database. These are the steps to follow to register your members online.
- The club logs in and registers its members for the season (the person in charge of the club uses his Judo Canada number and a password provided by the prov./terr. association). Visit www.judocanada.org for all the details.
- The clubs submits the registrations online to the provincial/territorial association and prints two copies (one for its records and one to be sent with the payment)
- The club sends its registration money to the provincial/territorial association with a list of the members registered.
- The provincial/territorial association verifies the data and confirms the registration of the members.
NOTE THAT THIS PROCESS CAN TAKE PLACE MANY TIMES DURING THE SEASON IF NEW MEMBERS JOIN THE CLUB LATER IN THE YEAR.
Only once the members’ registration is confirmed in the database by the provincial/territorial association will they be eligible for a membership card. Only members with card can logon to the database. The login is the member’s Judo Canada number and the default password is the member’s year of birth.
Judo Canada wishes to thank everyone for their cooperation in this national project. If you encounter any problems, please watch the e-learning module on our website, contact your provincial/territorial association or send an e-mail to Adrien Landry.
