 2009 Senior World Championships selection criteria
The following clarifies certain points of the 2009 Senior World Championships
Selection criteria.
Eligibility
Point 1 - Citizenship
Non-Canadian citizens can take part in the 2009 Senior World Selection process.
However, in case the winner of the selection process is not a Canadian citizen,
that person will have until July 18, 2009, to obtain citizenship. In the negative, the
selection will be awarded to the first eligible alternate.
Selection Procedure
Injury Clause
In case the injury clause is applied, the fight off will be at the latest July 18 th as
per Judo Canada’s fight off procedures (NT Policy 11). The fight off format will be
the best of 3 matches (2 wins required to be selected).
