Montreal, May 16, 2017 – Judo Canada has acquired a prestigious new partner for the Canadian Championships Presented by biosports.team. The affiliation between Judo Canada and Global Calgary will increase the visibility of the major tournament being held at Calgary’s Olympic Oval from May 25 to 28.
The broadcasting company will post information about the 2017 Nationals on its social media accounts and its website. In addition, Global’s weekend morning news shows will cover the Canadian Championships Presented by biosports.team.
Those tuning into Global TV Calgary’s news programs will be treated to interviews and kept up to date on tournament results.
The partnership will have a positive impact on the largest national competition of the year. “It’s an honour for Judo Canada to collaborate with a major television network like Global Calgary. We’re very pleased to see the level of interest the event is garnering,” commented Nicolas Gill, Chief Executive Officer of Judo Canada.
The promotion of the event on the station’s numerous platforms will increase judo’s visibility throughout Alberta and attract spectators to the Olympic Oval. “The work done by Global will greatly help in promoting the Nationals, especially considering that Calgary will be hosting the tournament again in 2018,” added Gill.
