**NOTE: Canadian Permanente residence is mandatory for Bremen and Thuringa and Canadian citizen is mandatory for Portugal

Training Camp: March 25-28, 2019

Return: March 28, 2019

 

2) Thuringa (Womens)

Departure: March 20, 2019

Tournament:  March 23, 2019

Training Camp: March 24-27, 2019

Return: March 28, 2019

 

Approximate cost (the estimate cost it’s from Montreal or Toronto airport, there is extra charge from another airport): 2800$

3) Portugal + Germany (athlete with G standard)

Departure: March 13, 2019

Tournament: March 16-17, 2019

Training Camp: March 18-20,2019

Departure for Germany: March 21, 2019

Return: March 28, 2017

All athletes must have travel insurance. If you have one, you must send proof to the following address: [email protected]

If you don’t have any, here are three options:

1) Medical insurance only: approx. $40

2) Insurance for a complete trip (medical, interruption, cancellation in case of injury or illness): approx. $150

3) Annual insurance (valid for one year for travel of up to 30 days at a time) complete (medical, interruption, cancellation in case of injury or illness): approx. $380

To be eligible, athletes must be members in good standing of Judo Canada and have no debt owing to Judo Canada or their Provincial association. Applications need to be approved by the applicants’ provincial association.

Selection:
Policy 15 provides selection criteria for specific major events. For tournaments with limited entries without specific selection policies, the criteria that will be taken into consideration, to select participants are:

•    Funding priority criteria
•    Participation and performance at training camps and testing
•    Daily training commitment at National Training Center
•    Number of international events already attended

With the objective to offer logical periodization in preparation and selection for major events.
